This cartoon is also based on something that happens to us all the time. If you look around on the internet, you'll see the bottom panel is very true to life, however, if you'd rather not see a LOT of foul language, just take my word for it.
This After Eden illustrates the ad hominem fallacy.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it like this:
ad hominem
1 : appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect
2 : marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made
For a better understanding of this common logical fallacy, my good friend Dr. Jason Lisle wrote an excellent article. I highly recommend it. Find it here.
These types of attacks aren't fun to endure and they happen very often, but that's just part of being in this type of ministry and shining the Truth of Christ in a dark world.
But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
Keep up the fine work. I really like your cartoons. They can go places that people can't.
