An Amazing Secret About Eight Celebrities REVEALED!

Last Monday I posted these photos of eight mystery people and asked the following questions:

1. Who are the people pictured in the photos?
2. What do they ALL have in common?
 
The answers to the questions are:
1.  I don't know the true identities to ANY of the people.

2.   They all look like celebrities. To me anyway.

The fact is, these people are not famous at all, beyond having their photos in this 1974 book titled, Sports Encyclopedia.  I first saw this book at my job prior to Answers in Genesis. I was a staff cartoonist for a Minneapolis area company called Mello Smello. This Sports Encyclopedia book was used for reference in the art department. I was using it one day when I noticed that some of the people in the photos looked like celebrities and it became quite entertaining because of how many look-alikes there were in this one book.

To me, the people in these book photos look like the following celebrities.

1. Ted Turner (although my lovely wife thinks he looks like Richard Dreyfuss)
2. Jerry Seinfeld. This book photo is my favorite. That guy is a dead-ringer for Jerry S.
3. Bruce Springsteen
4. Jim Varney also known as Ernest from the Ernest movies and TV commercials.
5. Walter Mathau
6. Shelly Long
7. Andy Gibb
8. Dennis Hopper (Sorry, this was the closest pic to the one in the book that I could find)

So the amazing celebrity secret is that the eight celebs listed above have doubles in an obscure sports book. Amazing eh? :-)
